MASONRY
A Universal Alliance of Ideals
Masonry exists as one of the globe’s most ancient and notable non-religious fraternal bodies. It is a universal alliance focused on bonding men of honor from varying origins around a group of shared goals. At its core, Masonry is not a club, but a caring brotherhood circle committed to the permanent tenets of Kinship, Assistance, and Sincerity. We aim to refine good men, enabling them to act as helpful forces in their households, jobs, and the broader world.
From Stone Workers to Soul Builders
Our storied legacy finds its mental and iconographic origins in the ancient stoneworkers' societies. These expert operative masons, who constructed Europe’s grand cathedrals, utilised private gestures and icons to guard their craft secrets and maintain standards. While modern Masonry officially started in 1717, we hold onto this iconographic structure. Today, our goal has elegantly moved from the erection of masonry structures to the symbolic construction of men of grit, utilising the gear and rules of our old forerunners to mold people devoted to virtue and honor.
An Ethical System, Not a Faith
A frequent and vital mistake is that Masonry constitutes a faith. It does not, nor does it aim to supersede a person’s own beliefs. We embrace men of all creeds who trust in a Creator, however they define that force. Our lessons promote virtuous living, moral conduct, and internal thought, but they are clearly apart from religious laws. The volume of sacred law—be it the Torah, Bible, or other fit script—is perpetually open in our hall, marking the weight of cosmic direction and ethical statute in our quest for sincerity.
