Degrees

Entered Apprentice

The Entered Apprentice degree represents the initial, primary move into the realm of Masonry, where a seeker is shown its core lessons, tenets, and the specific vocabulary of its icons. The rite centers on ideas of internal thought, mental modesty, the weight of governing one’s urges, and the start of ethical growth, providing the base for more wisdom. It teaches that self-improvement begins with humility and the willingness to learn from those further along.

Fellow Craft

Advancing on the insights of the initial step, the Fellow Craft stage signifies the search for wisdom, the refinement of logic, and mental expansion, historically marking the pay of a gifted artisan. It prompts a deeper grasp of Masonic tenets, specifically the classic arts and sciences, and their daily use in life, pushing the Mason to become a more clever and helpful part of the world. This second stage focuses on the application of intellect to nature.

Master Mason

This is the concluding and grandest step granted in the Craft Lodge, marking total fellowship and a deeper vow to living by Masonic ideals. It highlights ideas of honor, loyalty, the thought of mortality, and the weight of one’s impact. It builds a sense of guidance, aid to the Order, and the duty to lead and coach others on their Masonic voyage. Each step is a major marker, teaching permanent insights that remain relevant today.
